Has any parent experienced an odd hue or color in their childrens eyes?
I have noticed for 2 weeks, that my 7year old with CF no longer shows a clear white eye, it has become greyish/reddish, slightly but enough that it seems odd. Just curious. Also my 7 year old has always had difficulty with " Accidents" and wettinghis pants, is this common? He tried to tell me yesterday that he just cannot help it. HMMMMM I tend to think he is being lazy and forgets to go when he has to, but perhaps there is something to all the meds etc that cause incontinence in a child? Thanks in adnace for the responses..

I have a 11 year old son w/ CF and one of the first things I notice when he is getting sick is the color change in the white part of his eyes. He has very bright blue eyes, and the white part becomes almost grey when he gets run down. At least for him, that has been an indication that something was brewing.

Murgie,
I noticed the eye change thing when Emily was little, but as she got older, it sort of went away. As far as the incontinence thing goes, maybe his enzymes need to be changed?

You should tell his doctor about this incontinence problem, cause they need to monitor any possible problems with the kidneys. Make note of how frequently he needs to go.
It's likely the problem is nothing physical, but you can never be too careful.

They told me to call if the whites of my babies eyes turned yellow (liver issue/jaundice). I would definately call just to double check. Good luck...
