a tip on warwick coughing

i think i figured out what i was doing wrong.

first of all, i was taking in slow breaths and pausing between them for several seconds. this morning, i tried inhaling more quickly and only pausing for a second or two between breaths and it worked !!!! i was very excited.

another thing... the way i was doing "the cough" before, i was thinking that final cough would come easy, like if you have ever just coughed once and junk came up b/c it was just sitting there in the right place. doing this i was not getting results. instead, i took a tini tiny micro breath as my last breath right before i was going to cough and coughed like it was the final cough of the way i usually get stuff up--by dragon breath (i used to call it dragon breath...breathe out forcefully, pause, breathe out a little less forcefully, pause, cough, cough, cough! and stuff comes up.) it really is a deeper kind of cough not just a little 'politely coughing in church' kind of ah-hem! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

hope this is able to help some of the rest of you who have been struggling with this.

another thing: i did not find i was able to get a lot of stuff up with any one cough like i can the dragon breath way. maybe i am less congested than usual.
