In May of this year I was suppose to be a bridesmaid in my highschool friends wedding, but I ended up in the hospital & missed all the fun. It was a very upsetting time for me. I was quite angry that my CF was interferring in my life. Another friend from high school (my best friend) just got engaged & because her fiance is in the reserves & has been called to active duty in Iraq once already...they are doing a quick wedding in October & guess what...I am the Matron of Honor. She even told me that if I end up in the hospital that they will bring the wedding to me. I believe her. I know its not just talk & I bet the nurses on the floor can throw a hell of a party! I pray/hope things wont go that way, but its great to know she cares enough to talk like that! I have never been a bridesmaid, but a bride twice. Just the opposite of the clique...always a bridesmaid & never a bride!

You do have a great friend. That is wonderful. I wish you both health and happiness. When you couldn't be in your other friend's wedding, how did she take it? In my wedding, I had a friend who couldn't make it after she had agreed to be a bridesmaid (she lived in another state), so I replaced her at the last minute. I was sad she couldn't be there but I understood, and it didn't interfere with the wedding. Have fun being in the wedding!

The friend whose wedding I couldnt be in knew that it was always a possibility. She always told me not to feel bad if I couldnt. I expected to tho. I had just got out of the hospital & still had my PICC line in when I went for my dress fitting. I never thought things would turn as bad as they did within weeks.
A friend that would move her wedding to a hospital for you....now that is a TRUE friend. You are very lucky. Hold onto her, she is a keeper! I have a very good friend that has done everything she can to help raise money for me and I will never let go of her!
