Acapella Users

I was told hot, soapy water, then air dry. I really worry that this is not getting it clean enough inside, as I cannot get it to pop apart. Am I doing something wrong?

Germ Guardian users, ever put the Acapella in it?

Thanks! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I had an Acapella and still do, though I don't really use it. You can take it apart, and it's meant to go in the dish washer.

The mouth piece comes off. The white balance thing comes out. And then the top that hinges comes off of the bottom. You just have to pop it out of the little holes it pops into, if I remember right.

PS-- That picture was mostly for me so I could remember the parts. Haha.

Do you have the regular Acapella or the Acapella Choice? The Acapella Choice is the one that comes apart and can be boiled. I don't know about the other one. Maybe soak it in Hydrogen Peroxide?

I have an older acapella that I spent hours trying to take apart one day and finally decided it doesn't come apart without a sledgehammer. Then I soaked the thing in alcohol for 10 minutes and air-dried. I figure it if works for my nebs it will work for that.
