Add another one to the group.....

I just found out on Friday! I tested positive with 2 home prenancy tests (just to be sure, you know). I am a little hesitant about telling everyone yet, since this is my first and it's still so early (I'm about 4 weeks) but I'm just so excited. I haven't been on birth control in probably 4 years and nothing ever happened. Finally about 3 months ago I started taking Mucinex every morning and that must've been the secret.

I went to the doctor this morning and saw my pulmonologist (he's my regular doc as well). When I talked to his nurse on Friday she said to stop taking my Pulmozyme, Tobi and Zithromax. Well, I felt crummy all weekend and when I did my PFT today it was 54%. I had been feeling really good for the past few weeks and a little worried that my numbers were low (I'd say normal is between 60-70, but I fluctuate a lot). Now I am reading that so many of you Momma's out there stayed on those meds while you were pregnant. I'm thinking I should go back on them, but I will wait and see what the high risk OB/GYN says.

I promise that all new "pregnant" related threads I start will go in the pregnant section, I know how important that is to some people. But I just had to tell everyone!!!!

Definitely do not go on tobi unless you have the doctors approval.
Tobi has been shown to cause congenital deafness in utero for the fetus.

Other than the rest I haven't a clue but congrats and good luck!

Congratulations and welcome to the "group"!

A quick note, my high risk OB has said that it is safe to stay on all of the meds you listed, but check with yours first. We can discuss more in the preg section, and you'll find a thread already there discussing meds, so that should help you, too. Good luck and I look forward to hearing more and helping in any way when you join the preg section discussions!
