can someone tell me how to add a link to another website to a
post? Is it the same way u add a pic? I tried looking it up in a
search but couldn't find out how.

When you go to reply, up at the top there is a "key" (I guess you could call it), the one that says HTTP or HTTPS, use that. Click on it And first type in the link that you want to post. Then you type it again so it comes up exactly as the link, or you can name it something (like I just did below), I named this one hotmail because I linked it to hotmail, but sometimes I put in my cystic fibrosis site for male infertility and I just put the link for the first and second time, instead of renaming it. If it's a secure HTTPS website, do the same thing, but most websites are HTTP.

I'm sorry, I can not figure it out. I don't see the
"keys". When I click on where it says symbols to the
upper left a window comes up that tells me about some custom
tags designed for use with this website, and http and https are on
the list, but I can't click on them so I don't know how to use
them! I don't see them otherwise!

the bit that Julie is trying to describe should be marked ''address'', it will be below all the icons, a white box with the http: address.
What I do is left click on it and 'copy' then I 'paste ' it where I want it

1. Open up the reply window right now

2. Look right above where you can type and you see the Icons for BOLD, ITALIC, UNDERLINE (from Left to Right), A SMALL SQUARE WITH A PICTURE IN IT, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, MAIL, HR, HIGHLIGHT, LI, QUOTE

3. Once you have found those, click on the HTTP (it is lower case but I am doing caps to differentiate)

4. it will open up a small rectangle window with the words/sympols http:// already there

5. I always type over the http://, so say I want to put a link to hotmail in here; I'll type www.hotmail.com in the box (I delete/type over the http:// because it really isn't necessary).

6. Then hit OK and it will open up another screen of the same shape/size and prompts you to type a name for the link. You can either retype the link you just did, like www.hotmail.com and it will appear on the page just like that and but someone can click on it and it will take them to the hotmail page. OR you can rename it something like, CLICK ME or HOTMAIL (leaving out the www and .com) or whatever you want to name it.

7. Hit OK and the link will appear on the page.

Hope this one makes more sense, I re-read what I posted late last night and I can see how you would get lost.

Craig, LOL, I totally don't get your instructions

Thank you so much Julie! I think I
figured it out, but for some reason mine seems to be set up
different than yours. If I click on insert hyperlink then the
http:// comes up and I can put in an address. But I don't have the
options for quote, highlight, etc. The way you described the icons
being set up are different on my screen, but I think I may have it
figured out. I'm going to try right now adding a link to this reply
although it's just any old link out of my favorites. I just want to
see if I can do it.
OK for some reason I can't paste anything
out of my favorites, but it will let me copy and paste your
link onto my post. Uggggg!! I don't seem to have the option
to quote either.
Sorry I'm being such a pain, thank you so
much for trying! I'm going to see what happens if I just type in an
address, instead of copy/paste.

OK so now I'm going to reply to hit enter so I can see what happens
if I click on my link!
Yay! It worked! I wonder why our screens are set up
differently. You seem to have options I don't have! When I typed in
the link and hit ok it was just added to my reply without the
option of renaming it. Weird! I have a different window. "Text
to display" at the top is how I can rename it,
"address" at the bottom is where I put in my link.
Anyway, thank you, I couldn't have figured it out without you! One
of these days I'll figure out the whole quote thing.
Craig, I don't have an address bar under my icons ! There is no
address bar in the entire window, unless I click on Insert
Hyperlink. So apparently my screen is set up different from yours
too!
How strange is that.... so you have the HTTPS things to open but not an option to Bold or Italicize or quote anything.... that is so strange.

Glad you got it figured out!!!! And thanks for the congrats, we appreciate it!!!!!!!

I have the option to bold, italicize, or underline, a bunch of
options on how you want to align it, color, insert table, inser
symbol, insert hyperlink, insert horizontal rule, cut, copy, paste.
That's about it! Oh, and text style or size. It must be set up
differently.

I wouldent worry about it I dont know what I am talking about half the tim e either. Suppose it depends on the system that you use.
