Hi there,

I'm going to post this in the families and adult section. We've had lots of rain and with rain come spiders and fleas. My question is how do you exterminate with cf? I know this might be a silly question but I have a 4 month old with cf and I'm not quite sure how to handle it. Do any of you have ideas? We only have carpet in one room, do I fumigate? Do I spray? I'm going to call the doctor's office as well I just want to be very careful. Am I being too paranoid about this? Thanks<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I don't know if I'll be much help, but I saw that no one had responded.

We use Terminex and we made sure to ask them if anything was harmful to breathe in, letting them know that we had a child with "lung issues". They had assured us that everything was fine.

So, not really answering your question about what is safe vs. what isn't, but as far as I know, Terminex or another type of exterminator should know what is/isn't safe.

as far as i know as long as you use something that isn't bad for a 4 month old to begin with you should be fine, but then again i'm one of those people who only read the percautions on the can to see if its flamable

We recently had a problem with Mice. We are having Orkin spray the perimeter of our home with a chemical that is safe for kids and pets. We called the CF Clinic and gave them the exact name of what was being used and they were able to look it up in their database and let us know if it was safe or not.
