I had a bronc done last summer and it cultured aspergillus and not pseudomonas. I had the bronc done because I had cultured pseudomonas for the first time a few months prior and after trying tobi (the side effects prevented me from using it) I also tried Clolistin for three months along with levequin but my culture still came back positive. Then I had 2 weeks of IV antibiotics and after that inhaled colistin for two months and for the next few months my cultures were negative. But now it is positive again. My question is if my bronc culture did not culture pseudomonas but my throat cultures do then where do I go from here? I do not what to over do with treatments but then again I do not want to under do. I would appreciate any advice.

The only advice I have is that once you've cultured pseudo a few times, its pretty much a permanent thing. I continually culture pseudo when I'm sick - I can cutlure 4 different strains of it. Majority of CFers do culture pseudo and it never goes away. That's just the way it is.
