Well, The upper GI was to see if he had reflux (he gags and throws up mucus) which he didn't have refulx (we knew he didn't), but they did find that part of his intestines are twisted and we don't meet w/ the GI til July 25th.

The sweat test is scheduled for June 7th and we should have the results back by Fri the 8th. We did ask to see if we could have the sweat test done that day but I guess they only do them at 10am and 1 pm every day and we had xray appt at 10 and met w/ the pulmonologist at 1:00 go figure the only times they do the test. He did that by looking at him he didn't look like he had CF cause he is at good weight and has plenty of energy??????

He did confirm that he does have asthma and upped the strength, by taking him off of the nebulizer and onto an inhaler.

Will fill everyone in the sweat test june 8th.

This always annoys the hell out of me! Very few CFers look sick especially as kids. It isnt usually until there is a bad exacerbation or the CF has progressed drastically that its "visually obvious". Just had to vent! Sorry! HUGS to help you patiently wait!

I agree!! That's the sillliest thing I've ever heard. I still don't "look" llike I have CF and I'm 29, work a full-time job as a nurse, married, and have a baby!! Good luck to you!

I'd also try to get an earlier GI appointment -- DS was born with a bowel obstruction/meconium illeus and when we spoke with the surgeon he explained there was blockage, volvus (stretched out area), dead tissue AND lots of twisting. Is it mucus he's throwing up, bile or greenish stuff. DS vomited bright green stuff shortly after he was born.

There are LOTS of Cfers that are a "good weight" -- symptoms vary from person to person.
