Avoid the ionic ones. Go for ones with a hepa filter. We have a whirlpool whispersure -- have had it for about 6 years and it works great!

Ours in the 450. Like I said it's been 6 years since we got it. At the time it was one of the top rated machines. And any of the ones with hepa filters are pretty good. The ones to avoid are the ionic ones, like the ionic breeze. Didn't get very good reviews and there are issues with ozone from them not being very good for people.
