I just switched pharmacies and they gave me Bausch & Lomb .5% albuterol instead of the HiTech .5% Brand I usually get. Is it ok to switch or should I get another prescription?

if you live in the US, the FDA requires each generic manufacturer to prove bio-equivalence of the active ingredient of any med.

Therefore HiTech or Bausch & Lomb or whoever will have the same active ingredient. I see no need to switch....

So long as you don't notice a difference you should be fine. I am not up on all the "rules" by my understanding is that the active ingredient has to be the same but the way they way it can be different. So the analogy is 2 people can make a cake with the exact same eggs milk and flour but the one grandma made was always better!
