Yeaaaa...im excited. I ended up calling my doc o Teues, they were closed monday b/c they moved thier office. I didnt hear back, so I called back today and they had already caled in the prescription. So I went to get my alb NEB format...and will begin in the morning. I am excited b/c I have felt soooo tight after the saline and I cough a lot.

Is there anything I can expect from the ned version of alb vs. the inhalerr? Thanks guys!

I can't remember what all was talked about in your former posts on this, but with the nebbed albuterol you may feel a bit shakey or jittery at first. Some people switched to xopenex to alleviate that, some don't get the shakes at all, and some start out shakey but their bodies adjust. That's really the only thing I can think of that might be different from the inhaler version. I have also been told to do the albuterol neb BEFORE the hypertonic saline to help prevent bronchospasm that can sometimes be caused by the saline (I don't know how accurate that is, it's just what I've heard and what I do). Good luck, let us know how it goes!!

Sry kinda random....I just didnt feel like going back to look for my previous post, sry I know I am lazy. I have been having problems when I do the HTS...with tightness and wheezing...and I have been using the inhaler version of alb. So I wanted to try the neb version to see if it helps, which it should, my doc said.

And yes, it does cause me to be VERY tight and spastic if I dont do the alb...

Do I have to wait to start the HTS after I do the alb neb (with the inhaler you wait 15 minutes) or can I start right away?

And how long does the neb alb take? I have to allott my time in the AM very wisely...haha.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion!
