Alcohol while on the list

I am on the list. I enjoy a few drinks on the weekend. How bad is it to have alcohol and be listed? Would they do the surgery if i had a little alcohol in my system? i should clarify, i dont not get blind-drunk when i drink. But i know my tx doc would not like this. any input? thanks

I would say ask the docs. You don't know what they will say. After my tx, I had a beer every evening. Ordered by the lung tx surgeon!!

I would think that would be bad b/c if you got the call and you have alcohol in your system, it thins your blood and you'd bleed too much.
