So, I wanted to tell how my appointment with the allergist went (separate from my FEV1--see other post if interested). Anyway, I was so happy that they did the little pokes on the back which took less than a minute and you could barely even feel. They did do three TB like pokes on my forearm since my Aspergillus test was borderiine on my back. For those of you who are avoiding seeing an Allergist due to pain, talk to the Allergist and see how they perform testing. I thought it was a breeze and I don't like needles.
Besides the pain issue, I learned some interesting stuff. I have a very negligible reaction to dogs and dustmites. Yeah, since I have two dogs. I am allergic to a host of outdoor stuff, which is really disappointing since I love the outdoors (especially during the really nice warm summer weather we've been having). I also learned that I do not seem to have an asthmatic component to my CF.
The rest of the environmental info that the allergist told me I basically already knew from you guys. What a great wealth of knowledge you all share. The only other interesting thing I was told was that although I am basically not allergic to dust mites, I should still encase my pillows, because they do hold other stuff that I am allergic to. Good to know. So, if you are debating about covering your matress, pillows, comforter, just do it! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
