ALLI...new weight loss drug

I'm not promoting this drug, just the opposite in fact.
I was working out yesterday and there was info posted around the gym about ALLI the new weight loss drug (how bad it is for you, once again they weren't promoting).
What I found interesting........it sounds just lifke CF'ers. It make the fat non-soluable so you poop it right out (and it went into detail about loose, greasy, non-controlable pooping).
But then it also went on to say it is so hard for Vitamins A,D,E &K, they get kicked right out of your system. Wow, just like CF again.
So basically scientists made a drug that immitates the CF'er who needs enzymes. Isn't that crazy? The side effects sound horrible.
Well just wanted to share my 2 cents.

OF course no one understands the severity of it unless you have been there & done that like we have. This sounds really dangerous to me........hope those girls who are already using laxatives or not taking insulin etc to keep their weight low dont see this.......

Someone posted about wanting to try this on my cat forums, and all I could think was "Why would you want to do this to yourself?!?". What I actually told her was the danger of fat soluable vitamins getting low, and she said "They said to take a good multivitamin".

I just don't get it. I suppose that the first lovely bout of eating something greasy would make you stick to a low fat diet from then on- lol- but it really does sound dangerous! Especially for anyone who might take it long term, and who's gonna stop them, since it's OTC?

At least one of the ladies on there did say that she would avoid anything that may cause "anal leakage"- lol. Maybe that will discourage a few....

This has been prescription for the past 12 years.... ever heard of Xenecal? that's what it was called before the FDA allowed it to go OTC

If it worked and it actually made people lose weight long term, there would be no obesity problem in the united states

that's my two cents.
