Sorry if this is TMI but we have been trying for almost 3 months to get my DS malabsorption problem taken care of. He started out with green foamy stools when he was diagnosed and it changed to loose orange oily stools with enzymes (creon 6,000). He has reached his max on enzymes so now he has started the generic zantac. He just started that one day ago and now his stools are dark green or orange with dark green spots. Does this sound familiar to anyone and can anyone give me advice on what worked for them? My son is breastfeed w/added formula. Any suggestions comments are welcomed.

My daughter's stools have always exhibited with malabsorption (e.g., loose, oily, orange, foul-smelling). She's also on her max enzyme dose...but she's gaining weight well (currently 60+% weight to length). I do have to say that she DID NOT do well with Creon. Even though her stools aren't anywhere near formed, Pancrease (now Pancreaze) has shown better results. Have you tried another enzyme formulation?
