Ambray

Hi
could anyone please tell me if you can get Ambray genetic tests done in the United Kingdom.
My little boy had a blood test that showed he was negative to the most commom mutations of CF, but he had ileum (sp) atresia when he was born also mild anul prolapse, and slow weight gain although he is far from being under weight, but these symptoms do make me worry. the consultant said that he could have a rare mutation, but unless he presented with anymore clinical symptoms. then they would not test further. I was wondering if the Ambray test was more in depth and how I could go about having a test with them.
Thanks in advance for any help
Regards

Hey, I don't know enough about it... but in case it'll help you find it, or find a way to pay for it, it's Ambry. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I used to advocate for use of Ambry genetics but would no longer personally recommend it based on experience. I refreshed a topic I posted a few weeks ago. Do you guys have Quest Diagnostics Laboratiories in the UK? That is more reputable and might be a bit better known. The people at quest are also VERY helpful. I would recommend you visit their website and you can email them as to whether or not they are aware of any "sister" lab in the UK.
