Hi, everyone. How long did it take for you to get results from Ambry? Our doctor (at a CF center) said about 2 weeks, but the results still aren't in after 3 1/2. Maybe the lab is just extra busy... but our imaginations are beginning to run a bit wild and we're starting to think maybe the delay means something? Thanks for any input-

Ours did take 3 weeks. Hopefully you will get the results soon. It is an agonizing wait I know. Hang in there.

My results took 4 weeks, and they have just added a new test called CF amplified. That may be causing a bit of a back up. I know that my results were completed about 2 months ago, but ambry just called my doc requestinga nother sample because of this new amplified test.

My daughter's results from Ambrey took about five weeks. We were told it could take up to 6-8 weeks.

Who ordered the tests? Our ds's asthma/allergy dr ordered his test but we had the blood drawn at the local hospital (allergist is 2 hrs away). Because our allergist does not have priviliges at our local hospital, the hospital always lists our PCP as primary. Our results were sent to our PCP whose staff attached them to the top of the chart but did not notify the PCP since she did not order the testing. Our specialist never received the results. I mentioned it to our PCP almost 6 wks later at a sick appt and she found the results on the top of her chart - she'd had them for FOUR weeks!! If a specialist ordered the results and the blood wasn't drawn at the cf clinic, I'd call your primary care dr to see if they got them by mistake. Good luck.

Ugh! You had to wait six weeks? That must have been torture...and maddening to find out the results had been available for four weeks prior! My son's pulmonologist ordered the test and called for the results after 2 weeks. They were told it would be another 1 1/2 weeks atleast. I'm just feeling impatient! Hopefully we'll have some news this week...
