Awesome, after 6 years mine got remanded back to the ALJ (Again), and I got a letter stating another 10 months before a hearing.
Congradulations to everyone that did get it, you all deserve and need it more than most.
I was sitting on a bus coming home from one of my college classes the other day and a man my age, 34, starting trying to talk to me about dogs. I stated "trying" because he was so messed up on pills I couldn't understand him. I don't imagine that he could walk either. Conversation goes to SSDI and he said that he got it, no problem, for being Bi-polar... while he was in Prison at that. I am thinking to myself, these are the reasons it takes so long for most of us to get through the system, because idiots like this are able to obtain benefits... a drug addict convict?
Sometimes this world is really backwards. I do know people who are Bi-Polar and I have seen them on medication, and they function properly, walk, talk... this guy was just an addict... this was 12 in the afternoon by the way. Sorry I had to vent, but I really do not understand some desition making in out court systems.
I am happy for everyone that got it on here thus far. Take good care of yourselves, stay as busy as you are able, I believe that good things are in the future for all of us. We just need to remain strong.
