I got this message on another board, thought you all might want to know!

What a way to start the day!!! Miss Lo Detrich should be in surgery
getting her new lungs right this very minute!!

The call came in last night at 11:44. Terry & Lo went straight to the
hospital, where Lo was prepped for surgery (from midnight to 3am). This
included X-rays, blood work, EKG and other fun tests.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed that the donor lungs were a good match "on
paper." So one of the transplant doctors hoped on a jet plane and went to
evaluate and retrieve the donor lungs!

Simultaneously Jane went to the airport (in her pj's I might add) where
she caught a flight... less than two hours after getting the call. She is
scheduled to arrive in STL first thing this morning. Don & Bill Thomas
promptly headed for St Louis at 12:05am and only encountered a handful of
officer friendlies along the way...

Not sure exactly how many updates will be sent out in the next day or two
but we will certainly work diligently to ensure everyone is in the loop!!
The distribution list for this email is not part of Terry's master list
but rather a recreation from many of the emails she and Lo have sent out
in the last six months.

Please please forward to anyone who may have been left off. And feel free
to forward any names I'm missing so that I can include them on the updates
in the next coming days!

Thanks so much for all your thoughts and prayers. We'll send out another
update later today!

Love,
Terry, Don, Jane, & Lo"
(sent from Terry's friend, Catherine C.)

That is SO GREAT to hear!! I met Lo once in Pulmonary rehab and she and I got to talking about transplant. I was transplanted Nov. 2004. You may have heard of me because Lo and I are about the same age and I'm the one who ended up marrying my Transplant mentor.

Anyway, that is such wonderful news!!! I am local and if you need anything I would love to help and I am around Barnes a lot!!! Just send an email or ask Rebecca to contact me for you!!!

Congratulations and I hope her recovery is swift!!
