I saw a report on the news that many hospitals have shortages on important drugs like sterioids and antibiotics. This is a result of increased regulations that the drug companies are being subjected to--i suppose Cayston is an example of this?
Anyway, it said hospitals were being forced to change medications, shorten hospital stays and completely cutout certain drugs.
Have you heard this from any of your health care providers/doctors/hospitals?
I am on antibiotics now and they put me on two IV's. I did not ask the doctor about this news report, instead I asked to see a copy of my culture to see if they were using the right antibiotic (sensitive) or if itwas chosen due to lack of avaliable options.
The culture showed sentsitivity to the drugs I'm on, so I'm happy about that but still wondering if thisis something weCF people are going to have to deal with in the near future in regards to IV's.
Iwonder if Cayston is just the beginning of the shortages to come.
I also know the news LOVESto SCARE, FRIGHTEN, CREATE DRAMA all for the sake of having something to report.
