Can you possibly tell me any info on these mutations. Delta F508/c.2657+2_2657+3insA. We know about the 1st mutation and were told that this 2nd mutation is quite rare and I've researched but can't find much on it. Do you know if it's considered to be a mild or severe mutation.

Hi I too am a grandmother to Jaden who is 2 1/2 and he has 3 mutations. We were told by his CF team at Scottish Rite in ATL GA that CF is CF and one mutation does not in fact be worse or better than another. Everyone is different and expectations should be accordingly. I hope this helps because when I found out Jaden had three I thought it was a triple threat!

Just enjoy every minute, my dtr and her 2 kids live with us so we spend every day together. Treatment time now is like a bonding time because he will sit on my lap -- the times when he is not fighting us the whole time <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> that is!
