anyone with pancreatitis??

hey!'m Maria and i have CF.the thing is that although my lungs are in areally good condition i suffer from pancreatitis the last 5 years. my doctors said my pancreas was not at all infected by the disease at first and only 5 years ago it started to disfunction..Since then i have been to the hospital 10(!!!)times!! As you see i have freaked!!! anyone with the same problem knows how hard is all that.so till today i don't eat oil (it's forbidden)or any fat.I think that i'm the only patient with cf who has this problem (my doctors say it's not very common) and i'm desperate!!So if there's anyone out there with the same problem please tell me i will feel a bit better<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

p.s i discovered this site recently and my life has changed..I'm so so so so happy that i can talk to people who trully understand!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> KISSES TO ALL! MARIA

Hmm, yeh. That does sound rare. I thought my stomach aches where bad :\. Good luck, and welcome to the forum <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I had the same problem growing up I've had pancreatitis at least 20 times. But the majority was when I was younger and I used to drink beer. That was 20 years ago and I don't drink now or eat any fried foods. I havent't had pancreatitis in at least 7 or 8 years. Now most of my problems are pulmanary.

hey!it's Maria again..Ricky your reply really encouraged me!!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">i'm glad you haven't had any pancreatitis in at least 7 years,and i hope the same happens with me too..although..i don't know if it's better having pancreatitis than having pulmonary problems..i guess i wish they could both disappear tomorrow!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

well that's true..my doctors say that bad mood has a huge effect on the pancreas,and i have noticed that myself.not to mention that 3 to 10 pancreatitis i've had were attributed to psychological reasons only..so the conclusion is<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> all the time!kisses..
