I use Apria & have never had THIS much trouble. I have my little issues which are slowly getting ironed out. I have ordered care & iv infusion supplies/meds from them as well as 02 & neb compressors. Anything else goes thru other companies.

I have The Empire Plan which is B/C for NYS Employees & Apria is the only home care agency contracted in my area with them. I am still able to get my other equipment by other means tho.

Raise enough hell & if it is indeed the agency I would contact CIGNA & advise them that due to improper care your health is at risk.

My brother works for Apria as a equipment salesman and he has said to me before that he hates it because he will sell something and then who ever ships it sends the wrong piece, or it takes too long to get there or some other problem with the equipment - and then people don't want to buy from him again - so even from the inside it seems they aren't always the best to deal with (but my brother is a really nice guy, so give your Apria rep a break and blame it on somone one else <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> )

I recently ordered a PariTrek through Apria Healthcare. I have HealthNet and they use Apria as well. I think if you order a portable compresser through them, they give you a PariTrek... non-portable I think they give you Respirtech or something like that?? My nurse says that different insurance deals will cover different makes of compressors and it shouldn't make a difference as long as it meets the minimum liters per second speed or some such... as your doctor for the minimum specs required -- it may be okay.

DS's orginal pari proneb ultra was from apria. They charged our insurance company $365 for it -- I still have the receipt. I recently purchased a new one (pari proneb ultra II) online without going thru insurance for about $45. Being naive new parents of a CFer we didn't know that our original pari was faulty to begin with -- duo neb took about 25 minutes and tobi took about 45-50. We thought this was NORMAL until a relative gave us a pulmoaide her daughter used for asthma. Argh!

BTW, are the pari proneb ultra II filters the same as the pari proneb ultra regular ones? I ordered some recently and was sent the same ones we used for our orginal pari pro neb...
