are our eggs not mature?~~

My dr was saying awhile back that our eggs are mature or dont get mature like other peoples?! is that true?!! i cant seem to find anything about this... i have been having issues trying to get preggo. i know that i dont ovulate so i will be starting clomid this next cycle...but i was just wondering if our eggs mature enough.. or do i need some meds to help them mature?!!! thanks for any info.....

Everything I have ever read about women with CF and fertility says that we have normal fertility (as normal as any woman). Of course some of us have problems getting pregnant but any woman could have those problems (ie PCOS, endometriosis, etc). The only problem "unique" to CF is thick cervical mucus.

Not ovulating can be a sign of malnutrition or poor BMI (which could be indirectly related to CF) but anovulation can also be signs of other things like PCOS. HTH

ok thanks!! thats what i thought!!! my dr is weird!!! i think hes just trying to get me to change my mind about having kids!!!

Caroline had a great answer, I am replying to simply bang my head against my desk - I feel like we have so much against us as CFers as it is, that this kind of ignorance from the medical field is unneeded. Ask your doc for some research to back up this claim. And when he can't provide it, ask him why he said it in the first place.
