I asked this already on the Adult forum, but thought I'd get more answers here. If my doctor advises it, I'm getting the H1N1 vaccination, but am wondering about my boys. Alex is 6 1/2 months, so he meets the cutoff age and of course, Chris who is 4 does too. (I have CF, but they don't.) I'm not sure if I should vaccinate them or not. What is everyone doing with their kids (CF and non CF, too)?

My daughter has cf. We just got back from our pediatrician's appt and he advised us that my daughter and anyone else who will be taking care of her to get the H1N1 vaccination. She is two years old. We also watched the CF webcast and they were advising about getting the vaccination too. So when the vaccination is available, grandmas and moms and dads and babysitters say they will be getting the shot.

My symptomless cf child will be getting the vaccine mainly to protect me. If he got it and it turned into pneumonia as it supposedly does even in healthy individuals it could put my health in jeopardy to have to care for him. Since I am his main caretaker and I can't afford to get H1N1 (due to my cf) he will be gettng vaccinated.
