Becoming a surrogate for my sister

Hello everyone,
my sister just recently recieved a double lung transplant about 3 weeks ago. So far she's having an amazing recovery, and I'm really excited for her and her future. She's been wanting kids for years and has tried for so long, but never successfully got pregnant. Now that she's had transplant the chances of her getting pregnant seems more unlikely (or does it?)
Anyway, I would love nothing more than to be her surrogate. I was just wondering if it's possible for her to give eggs? Does anyone know the process?I know she wants to try and have her own children, though I'm sure she would be open to getting donated eggs.
I really want to make this possible for her. Any advice would be much appreciated :)

I do believe that she can donate the eggs. I know nothing about the process, but watching tv (so my facts could be wrong) The Little Couple on TLC took Jenns eggs and Bills sperm and put them into a surrogate. I am pretty sure their first time around was a success in getting pregnant, but I think ended in a miscarriage. Someone who knows a lot about IVF on this site is Julie, who was married to Mark. They didn't use a surrogate, but did get triplets out of IVF.

I see this question was asked a while ago but I wanted to add my thoughts anyways...That's actually a good question MSBumba. I was wondering the same thing myself for future information....

Yes, she can donate her own eggs and the husband his sperm, and you are basically the incubator.

Thanks for the clarification Julie. I'm only 21 right now but I'm thinking about this option for the future. Do they have clinics for surrogate's? Or are the financial issues something you have to work out between you and the surrogate?

I am not able to carry a baby myself because of my lung transplant and anti rejection medications.
