My eight year old is constantly complaining of her stomach hurting. This is nothing new- has been going on for years. I took her to the doc last month and they decided to run a sweat chloride test just because my older dd is waiting to have the ambry test run. It came back high normal. So I am trying to figure out if her belly pain could be a result of CF? It could be months before we have my older childs results (waiting for insurance approval).
We have run every test I can think of over the years to try to figure this out. For years we have ignored her complaints. She does have trachial malasia (floppy airway)and silent reflux (treated with a PPI). I did manage to get her to let me look at her BM recently and it was a floater (sorry TMI), but not greasy or oily. She looks very thin, but is 40% for wt and 75 for height. She will go for days with only eating minimally when she is in pain, then one day she will wake up feeling okay and eat again like crazy.
Does anyone have any clue if this could be a symptom of PI?
