BF moms-is this return of fertility?

Though we gave formula early on, I have been nearly exclusively BF for a while now and have not had a period yet. Lately I've noticed the return of vaginal discharge and I've had a few abdominal cramps (not while nursing). Is this what happens when fertility/your period returns? So far I haven't seen a even drop of blood.

I got my period back at 8 weeks, sadly, despite exclusive nursing, cosleeping amd babywearing (what do they call it - ecological nursing or something?). Anyway, I don't think you'll know until you actually get your period - I supposse you could start charting to see if you get an ovulation dip? Hopefull your period will hold off for a long, long time!

There really isn't any way to say if it is your period returning or not. Additionally, your body can have several false alarms before the real thing - like it is gearing up to ovulate but not actually ovulate. The only way to know is when you get your period or if you are charting and notice the temp rise after ovulation. Generally (but not always) the first cycle after pregnancy is anovulatory just FYI.
