Priceless

So this summer my brother bought a brand new Trek 4300 mountain bike. Me being the younger brother eventhough im 17 i have to have what my older brother has. That evening I went to the bike shop and bought one also. Long story short....After three months of riding my PFTs were at an all time hi with my FEV1 at 102%. This fall i havent been able to ride and I was recently hospitalized for pnemonia and my PFTs dropped to 93%. Yesterday i went out and bought a stationary trainer so i can still exercize in my basement. On top of my meds riding definately kept me in good health, I encourage everyone to either ride or keep physically active.

Does anyone have any similar stories, if so do share.

Peace out,

-Mike

before i hit my teens, i was always moving around and out doing activities and all that and my PFTS were over 120%! but at 13 yrs i got admitted in the hospital because my stomach wasnt emptying meaning i wasnt eating hardly anything because of it. but after i got out of the hospital, i never got into it gain. and a month ago i had started running again but i had that linazolid problem that i posted in this forum (called LINAZOLID WARNING if you want to read it). but ya my PFTS are now down to 97% so exerising DOES HELP! i agree and totally recommend it also.

kj and i have just started riding bikes but on our first trip out all she could do was cough and she got so tired, I am hoping she gets better lung function after she gets used to it. We also have a exercise bike, an elyptical and a stair stepper and a fitness ball and mini tramp. The elyptical is the best cos it puffs her right out.
