For me, it's all about something irritating my lungs. It can be anything from pulmozyme to allergies to dust! It annoys the crap out of me, but i think once i eliminate the irritants my lungs are happy again. is there anything in your lungs (meds, dust, allergens) that could cause them to be irritated?

I really don't have that issue, but try to sleep propped up, rather than flat & see if you still have that happen.

I've never had a lung bleed. But in recent months, I have had good results with taking extra calcium to stop nosebleeds. I read somewhere that calcium is necessary to start the clotting process. So it seemed to me that taking calcium might help to stop bleeds. For me, it's worked surprisingly well.

I agree with Landy. I have been told that CFers are more prone to bleeds when lying flat. I know for me this is true, and if I feel a bleed coming on, I prop my self up in my bed. Not sure of the medical reason for this.
