I guess I should start off by saying that I should probably post this in the transplant section. However, I feel so comfortable and close to so many of you
I wanted to share this with everyone.

I suppose I should start by saying I grew up about 8 miles from Malibu, CA. However, I was never comfortable with swimming in the ocean, due to my CF, and afraid of getting a coughing attack that would put me into a situation I would regret.

This past weekend I went to Santa Cruz, CA and rented a house, with my wife & child, that was right on the beach. This was one of the first times I had been in the ocean since I had my tx almost 4 yrs ago. It was incredible, I was able to swim out as far as I could, body surf with my 10 yr old daughter. Dive under waves and able to catch my breath immediately when I came up for air, Without Coughing. I couldn't stop thanking God, and now this will be a moment in my life & my daughters life we will never ever forget.

I honestly felt like a kid again, I didn't want to get out of the ocean, and the waves, which were about 8 to 10 feet high were as they say in California "Awesome Dude."

Have a great week everyone,
