bronchitis question

Hi - I have bronchitis and I was just wondering if besides the obvious washing hands and keeping my distance from my son, do I need to notify the cf dr for any additional instructions. I remember when I had pnemonia, I had caught it from my son having RSV so he was already on antibiotics. This time he is just on his reg. meds right now and his off month for TOBI. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

It can't hurt to call the doc. They might want to put him on an antibiotic as a precaution. They did that for me when I had the flu so that I wouldn't get a bacterial infection as well. You may also want to wear a mask around him, not very convenient but again, it can't hurt.

Ditto, can't hurt to call the doctor. I recently got over bronchitis too and the doctor recommended i stay away from my hubbie (who has CF) as much as possible. I pretty much stayed at work as long as I could and slept in a different room. I also wore a mask at home, just preventative. Because this is your son, it is a bit different. My husband can take care of himself, but being that this is a child you might want to get further recommendations from your doc.
