Burning urine

My 10 year old has been complaining on and off for about a month that it burns when he pees. Sometimes he will go a few days without complaining and then some days he will complaine a few times. I had him checked for a UTI and it was negative. Everytime I think no more... he complaines.

Anyone ever experienced this? Thanks!

When did you have him tested? If you did it early on when the UTI was first developing, it may not have shown and may need to be retested. The doctor may also need to take a look at it or ask him if he can see any sores anywhere on it. An open sore could be he culprit as well. Also, I might request a blood sugar as well, just to rule out any blood sugar issues, probably not, just a pre-caution because it is a slight possibility. Other than a UTI, open sore, or blood sugar, I don't know what else to tell you other than ask the doc.

LOL, keep us posted,

Did they just do a urinalysis or did they do a urine culture as well? Also, what about a yeast infection?
