Ok, Graycie was having diarria again last week and it started stinking more than usual. Of course anyone whose had c diff knows the smell. Well she had a stool sample done on thurs and friday they call and say she tested positive again for c diff. Unbelievable! After what she went through just a few months ago and all those surgeries where she was in critical condition and now its here again? She hasn't been on any antibiotics since her first round of c diff because they are being very careful with that. Why did she get it again? Did we miss something? She was so close to dying last time that I just can't understand why it would come back. I hate CF and everything that comes with it. If she wasn't on any antibiotics where did this come from again? I am so ticked off right now I can barely stand it. I am so mad that she has to go through all of this again. What do we say to the twins again? They are already upset that she has it again. They were crying when the overheard the conversation with the dr on the phone. It is affecting them as much as it is Graycie. I am sorry that I am ranting but I am mad, we all are mad. I know its ok to be angry but when someone talks about the little problems that they are having with their children, I want to scream at them and tell them that things could be worse.

I am so sorry to read this. I understand the venting, the stress, the worry etc. I just am praying for your family that everything works out okay and that its not too upsetting.

When I get bad news, or scary news... I pretty much just cry, and then I hug my dog(s)... basically any dog, that isnt much help but also I cant go on facebook or anything like that when I am upset b/c I just want to tell basically everyone on my friends list (minus cf'ers) to shut the *** up. I know that is vulgar, and a bit violent, but people just dont understand sometimes. I was pretty much shell shocked the day I found out I had b. cepecia.... just cried and cried.

I do try to remember eventually everyone has their own problems, but its hard when you feel like you have all these "life or death" problems, not just "nothing" problems.... like our problems and worries are about our actual ability to thrive and live.

I dont have any experience with c. diff but I thought that once you had it, you always had it type of thing?

I hope someone else can provide some advice that is both knowledgeable and comforting.

Again, sorry you have this stressful situation going on right now.

Oh Cheryl... I am so sorry. How devastating that you have to go through this yet again with little Graycie. I hate CF.

I hope getting this under control goes much, much smoother this time... I have no real knowledge about this subject but just wanted to offer my best wishes as you fight this again.

I feel for you guys so much!!! Praying like crazy that you get this under control. Are you guys doing probiotics for Miss Graycie??? The first website mentions the benefits of probiotics for recurrent C diff. And the last is my blog and just tells the basics of probiotics.

blessings,
missa

Cheryl, so very sorry that Graycie is dealing with C-Diff again. Do you guys have her on probiotics? My daughter has problems with C-Diff and we keep her on probiotics all the time. She takes it every morning.

I hope this goes away quick and you do not have to deal with it like last time.

I would be pissed off also.
