Carnation Instant Breakfast Junior

Was googling Carnation Instant Breakfast for the very high calorie stuff that someone mentioned in the adult forum -- that stuff I think was lactose free, similar to pediasure. Anyway I found Carnation Instant Breakfast Junior -- apparently has 580 calories per container and has added fiber and calcium.

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried this and if so, where do you get it?

I clicked on the link...it looked to me like you would get a
prescription for most of that stuff.  The drink  that was
lactose free was specifically labelled lactose free on the right
hand side.  But with a prescription, insurance might pay for
it?

The very high calorie stuff has 580 calories per 8 ounce. I think this container is 240 ml also -- at 580 calories. Maybe I read it wrong... A friend of mine gets this for her kids now instead of pediasure, but not sure how many calories it has in it or where she gets it from. She works at a pharmacy, but I don't know. The people on the adult forum just ordered the very high calorie stuff online. Liza

Yes there is high calorie stuff that has 500+ calories, but this junior stuff only looks to me to have 1 calorie per ml and the serving is 250mL. Just look closly at what you are buying. I just don't want someone to buy a case of this and think they are getting the high cal drink. I could be wrong, but just check, thats all.

Yep, just read the nutritional info -- calories 1 per ml. Just wonder how it compares to pediasure. We use regular carnation instant breakfast powder with whole milk and cream, but this might be fine for travelling. The Very High Calorie stuff is lactose free like pedia sure. Liza

Click on the nutritional panel off to the right side. Each ml is one calorie...Serving size is 250 ml...so total calories is 250.

Reilly drinks at least 1 of the Carnation Instant Breakfast Plus a day. They have 375 calories, with 17 grams of fat. I buy them from a place called Hocks.com. They are $25.95/case, versus $35.95 at the Nestle site. Expensive, but worth every penny. I am very anxious to see how much weight she has gained since her last appt. If she isn't into eating dinner, I give her a "shake" and am satisfied that she got the nutrients she needs. Here is the link:
