Cayston Came!

Because TOBI is class C (I think) for pregnancy, my doc and I decided I will do Cayston during my pregnancy (it is class B). It arrived yesterday in all of its glory (two boxes including the meds, new neb, baby bottle sterilizer, dish soap, containers to wash in, etc) Kind of impressive and kind of intimidating. I am excited to see how it works since I suspect I have some kind of resistence built up to TOBI. Any comments on its performance relative to TOBI from any Cayston users? Should I expect a bump in lung function like I did when I started TOBI?

My experience:
When I first started it, I was couging LIKE CRAZY and I couldn't even keep the mouthpiece in my mouth! That means ITS WORKING!! I LOVE IT!!
After two weeks, I experienced a LOT of junk being brought up that was in there for a while if you know what I mean.
Then after a few months, same thing. Still getting lots of junk up and seems to be working wonderfully.
So don't stop the med if you start hacking like crazy. It will get better and you'll grow accustomed (sp?) to it.
I have not used the bottle sanitizer yet, I was using the control solution.
I am going to start using the cleaning system next month.

Post your results when you have some! I'm anxious to hear what others say about it!

So if it makes you cough like crazy... does that mean it is irritating? I ask because I have a history of hemoptysis (mainly correlated with my hormones). It has been under control for several months... and I want to keep it that way. Or maybe it is just a matter of getting used to it. I remember the first time I tried TOBI I thought I could never make it through a treatment with deep breaths.

I will let you know how my numbers respond. Doing my first one tomorrow (now that I have read about all of the MANY parts on the new neb)
