cf clinic visit last Friday

Hi everyone! Update on Zoe's, Caleb and Alex's appts. Zoe has been put on Cipro for 3 weeks to try to clear up her infection. If at the May 1st appt., she isn't all cleared up, she will go in the hospital for iv's. Her culture came back yesterday with Staph. She had gained an incredible 2 1/2 pounds since last appt.!!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
Caleb's pft's were 106 & 108, sinus x-rays looked clear, blood work all came back normal. Both of his chest x-rays (1 from last fall & this new one) are showing hyper inflammation and some scarring. The doc has ordered a chest ct scan to get a better look.
Alex's pft's were 92 & 96, sinus and chest x-rays looked good, blood work all came back normal.
So, still have the ct to do, stool test, then we will go from there.

Thanks for posting, Jada.

i'm glad you are being so proactive about all of this. your kids are going to be healthier for it.

Sounds like an overall good visit. Here's hoping the cipro keeps Zoe out of the hospital!!

I was reading this post while in chat so couldn't respond last night. But it was so funny, Kaylee was sitting in chair beside me and saw Zoe's picture. Immediately-- "pull it up grandma!" came out ot her mouth! I told her Zoey was sick, and she said, "AWWW, POOR Zoey! I thin Kaylee is her biggest fan! Glad to here that clinic visit was good, if you dont mind "oxymoron"!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I was reading this post while in chat so couldn't respond last night. But it was so funny, Kaylee was sitting in chair beside me and saw Zoe's picture. Immediately-- "pull it up grandma!" came out ot her mouth! I told her Zoey was sick, and she said, "AWWW, POOR Zoey! I thin Kaylee is her biggest fan! Glad to here that clinic visit was good, if you dont mind "oxymoron"!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
