CF Color

Silly question for most of you, I'm sure. The bracelets that we have are blue, but most of the ribbons are purple? Can someone put me straight on this?

I'm going in for a new tat this weekend and will be doing a rose for my son, kinda want to get the color right <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

So I'm not sure what the official "color" for CF is. However, according to the "cause guide" the official color for Cystic Fibrosis awareness is purple.

The official color is purple, I know that. Some old CF friends hammered itinto my head., However, when looking at CafePress, seems like some of their CF stuff was pink.
