CF from a Christian point of view

In my former book, Theopolis...Wait! No, that's the beginning of Acts! Heeheehee...Just kidding. Anyway, In my former topic, "Are there any other Christian users?", I received a barrage of posts. Check it out. This is like a follow up, a way to find out how you cope with CF in a Christian way. It's not an easy disease, but what mainly keeps us going is the "blessed hope", the return of Christ to snatch away believers everywhere, dead and alive. So, how do YOU cope with CF. Whenever I go on a doctors appointment, when we're in the van, about to start it up, we pray. And we pray at the hospital, and we thank God(not in a vain way) when I get good results.

When my daughter was first diagnosed with CF we were not in church, i still believed in the Lord but was not attending church or even acting like a professing christian. I knew after Kait was born that i needed a change in my life. Sometimes it is still hard and i am sure it always will be for me. ( i am trying not to be such a control freak)and to let the Lord take care of everything! Now that i see my childrens faith in the Lord it really is a blessing!!!! Kait always knows that the Lord will take care of her and she knows that someday she will be in Heaven, she always says she cant wait to see God and the golden streets in Heaven, through our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ, Kait has changed my life. There are times when she is sick or in the hospital that i get really depressed and i seem to worry because I cant change things, she always tells me "mom i am o.k." sometimes i feel as if she is taking care of me. Anyway during her last stay at the hospital, I seemed to have really handled things differently, not that i dont care but as if i knew everything was o.k. The Lord took that burden of worry away. As far as being a Christian and having CF i cant answer because I dont have CF but i can say that being a Christian and having a child with CF is at times difficult but i am learning more each day that the Lord gives me. My favorite scripture is in Proverbs ( Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths) I always go back and remember this when my daughter is sick!!! Well just to let you know I love your topics!!!

Also i also believe that the CF has brought my family closer to the Lord and of course God already knew this !!!
CF has brought my family to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, through Him!!! Sometimes it is tough but one day when Our Father returns there will be NO MORE CF !!!!!

Yes! I am very blessed to know about the Christians on this board. I believe the Lord prevented anyone blowing up for the sake of us finding each other. Won't that be wonderful(!!!), when the same One Who the morning stars sang for joy for, will lay His pierced hand on our shoulders, and remind us that we are cured and forgiven. Forgiven! What a wonderful word!(and I'm glad to know you like my topics!)
