Hi, my younger daughter comes on the board every now and then and says she'd like to be a CF penpal. Both my girls have CF, my younger one is 14 (just turned) and my older one is 17. If your daughter would like to send her an e-mail just let me know and I will send her address. Does your daughter go onto the message board? My daughter that is 14 has been pretty healthy herself, with only one hospitalization for IV antibiotics, and to honest I don't think she really needed that one. It seems that it's kinda hard for CF kids to get to know each other, my daughters never knew anyone else with CF except them until a couple of years ago they met a young girl while my older one was in the hospital but thats it. It's kind nice for them to get to know and talk with other kids with CF. Even though they know they are not the only ones in the world with CF, it sure seems like it when you don't get to meet any others. Let me know if you'd like to make contact. Liza
What a great idea. I've always wanted my daughter to have someone to relate to but for some reason, the thought of doing this never occured to me. I have 2 girls with CF, but one is a bit too young yet... My older one is 9 and the younger one is 5. I know my 9 year old would love to have a penpal that she could talk to and relate a little bit. Other than her sister, she doesn't know anyone with CF either. I think I'll set up an e-mail address for her to use but until I get that done, if anyone wants to e-mail her, please do so to:
