Where I live that CF walk is just around the corner, I always have had a team of my friends and we raise money and get together & go to the walk. So this year I have been looking for a creative way for my friends and I to raise money for the CF walk. Do any of you have any ideas?

I am not sure how old you are.....are you still in school??

Where I am the elementary school and junior high have to wear uniforms. We held a "jeans day". For one dollar you could wear jeans to school that day. We raised over $700 dollars doing that. You can also do this in the workplace.

It is also very cheap to make the purple CF ribbons and your sell those for a dollar a piece. They cost about 20 cents to make.

Hope this helps!

We did a hat day at our elementary school. anyone could wear a hat for a $1.00 and teachers could wear jeans for $2.00. We also sold CF paper roses for $1.00, people would buy them and hang them up in gas stations, restaurants and other local businesses.

Hey,
I'm 19 and there's lots of things you can do.

-you can sell bean bag animals (you can find out how on cff.org) They sell them to you at half price and the you sell them to other people for $5-$20 depending on the style.

- at cff.org you can also buy blue wristbands to sell. you buy at $2 and sell at $3

If you're going off to college in the fall, you can put up flyers around campus and your dorm advertising what you are selling. Also a lot of businesses, mostly supermarkets, will let you sit outside of their store front and collect donations/sell items. Call around to Shop-rite or other local stores. I've gotten $800 on a weekend doing this

-You can also talk to local busniesses about sponsering a "rose garden" where you give them paper roses (you can obtain these from the person in charge of your local walk which you can find out on cff.org) They then sell these at registers for $1 and put them up around the store. This can get you thousands of dollars!!

-I had a bake sale at my school and got $400 in 2 days

-You can also go around and ask neighbors and friends for donations (make sure the neigborhood allows soliciting)

-I also did a car wash and got $200 but that required special permission from the town and a place to hold it (mine was at a car parts store)

-You could also collect donations of junk from neighbors (try putting up flyers advertising your collections) and have a rummage sale or book sale.

-a pancake breakfast could also work but its a lot of work. You need a place to hold it, lots of people to cook and a store to provide donations of food

-My friend told me about a cut-a-thon where you get a local hair place to have a CF day with hair cuts for a certain price, a portion of which will be donated to your team. you can also have a jar for donations and get a pizza place to donate some pies and sell them for $2 a slice outside the hair cut place

-You can write letters to local businesses along with the business sponsor form (I think you can print them from cff.org, or get them from the person in charge of you walk) If you like, i can e-mail you the letter i wrote.

-Other businesses are will =ing to give you a portion of their proceeds for a different day. You schedule a "CF day" and advertise to their customers that part of the money they spend that day will go to your team.

-You can do a penny per at a gas station or video store where they donate a penny (or other predetermined amount) to your team for every gallon of gas or video rented during a specific amount of time

That's all i got. I hope this helps. If you have any questions or need some suggestions, let me know. my e-mail is change_the_w0rld@hotmail.com If you live in NJ I could give you some store and people to talk to. Let me Know!
