Chest x-rays

Today, I had my ANNUALS. It was the BEST visit in 2 years!!! Yeahhhh!!! I gained 1 pound now 116 at 4'11". My resting O2 was 100%, and my FEV1 jumped from 68% to 70%. I was so happy after having a FEV1 of 68% for what seemed forever. Also, I had about 8 tubes of bloodwork and donated a sputum culture. Each visit continues to surpass the one prior. I had moved twice since I saw my CF doc last...

Anyway...the question...I told my CF doctor that Jake and I intend to keep trying naturally until April. At that time, we will pursue IUI. In the meantime, I told him about how I'm still charting, using OPTs, Mucinex, Vitex, and now PreSeed. This is the FIRST month using PreSeed. It's the only other thing I can think of...

Well, he ordered an x-ray...It was your PA & lateral chest x-ray. He said that he felt it was "safe" since we aren't pregnant yet...When I went into the x-ray area, they did have a belt around my waist.

IS THERE A CHANCE OF HARM IF I BY SOME MIRACLE DO GET PREGNANT THIS MONTH??? I now am beside myself. I'm only 6 dpo so I can't tell yet. Here is my chart...

I was diagnosed while I was pregnant so I had never had a chest xray and CT scan. My doctor gave me the option of having it done or waiting til after the delivery. While it isn't ideal to do it, if you needed it then it was the right thing to do.

I think even if you are pregnant, it's fine. I doubt one or two xrays would do horrible damage anyway. Look at it this way: if you are pregnant, would you not have the baby because you had an x-ray? LIkley, the answer is no, you'd go on through with the pregnancy you've been wanting. So try to relax, know that if things are meant to be and you are pregnant that it will be great - and if you're not pregnant, at least you know you've had all the labs and things done that you need done for a while and you can work on making that baby!

Thanks, Ladies. At least I can relax about it now. I was doing some research in general and the effects are slim based that I had a chest x-ray vs. pelvic.

Today, I am 7 dpo. I might have a dip.

EDITED TO ADD: My period is due Christmas Eve, the 24th. Do you think if I test on Friday that it would show? Should I wait until Saturday? We will be attending church on Christmas Eve and are having Christmas dinner at our home on Christmas Day. I would like to know by then.
