Hi
I am just curious, as I see alot of medical bill and insurance issues on here. Is everyone aware of Children's Special Health Care Services? My daughter has this and they pay all of her CF related bills that my insurance does not pay. I have not had to pay out of pocket expenses for any of her CF related appt or medications since her birth. I am just wondering if any of you with problems has CSHCS or if you are ineligible for some reason? I do know that over a certain income, you have to pay a yearly fee, but it is not a whole lot compared to medical bills. She has had this since she was born and I have been told she will be able to have it for the remainder of her life. Please let me know if you would like more info on this, or clear up why this may not be available for you. Thanks, hope this helps someone out.

Is this a state run program??

I think most of us have issues because things that are very CFer friendly in states like CA arent available in other states.

We're not eligible -- we make more than the 140% of the federal poverty level that our state determined for eligibility and our state SCHIP program does not allow cost sharing for those above the income eligibility guidelines.

I guess it is a state program. I was unaware, thought it was a federal program. There seems to be similar programs in each state though. Not sure of the qualifiers for each. I guess we should stick around Michigan...
