Chiropracter??

Question..... I have a friend who has a child with an illness totally different from CF, her physician recommended taking her daughter to a chiropracter to see if they could get any positive results from it. She so far has done a lot better since seeing him. The same day she went we were thinking that my daughter was going to be admitted so she spoke to the chiropracter about Holly, the guy said he has a patient with CF that has seen dramatic improvement since being his patient so the doctor is interested in Holly & has offered to see her for free. It isn't accupuncture, I haven't really gotten into detail with the chiropracter yet but I have a meeting with him on Monday.....

My question is this, has anyone else ever heard of this or seen any positives or negatives from it?

i have heard of some positive effects from chiropractic visits. If we could afford it, I would be doing it with my boys.
When Ethan was younger, I took him a couple times and every time he got an adjustment, he would almost immediately poop. It was like the proper alignment of his bones, made his digestive system work better. Everything is connected through your back bones, so if something is not right there, it effects so much.

blessings,
missa

Thank you so much for your input! I'm worried about the cost because I dont know if my insurance will cover it but the doctor is doing a free trial so it will be no up front cost & I can make a better decision after. I just need some opinions from other parents.

I used to come on this website a lot, just no time now <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Up until one year ago, I never thought that I would ever walk into a Chiropractors office to get "adjustments" done to myself. The thought of someone doing this just made my skin crawl and never thought it would do any good whatsoever.

I started to have severe pain in my shoulder caused from repetative work over a long period of time so thought a massage would do some good. Not knowing that the business I entered was also a Chiropractors office, I was talked into having adjustments done over a period of time and because this was covered by my insurance I thought I had nothing to lose, even though I was convinced this would be a complete waste of time. Now one year later I can't believe the difference this has done for me. I no longer live on advil or tylonol or need to wear a brace to bed (I also had carpel tunnel syndrome).

So many of my co-workers have the same problems that I had and even though they can see the results I have had, not one of them can be convinced that this does not hurt.

If my son were alive today, Matt passed from cf 5 years ago, I wouldn't hesitate in having him visit a chiroprator.
