I would imagine that you could crush the ADEKs vitamins up in his food for him, i.e. applesauce, pudding, baby food, etc. That's how my mum used to give me my pills. For the cipro I'm not too sure, as I didn't start taking it till I was 14.

adek can be crushed up, and actually, doesnt it say on the bottle that your supposed to chew it? i know we had this discussion a little back..

anways when i was little i sprinkled my enzymes and crushed my adeks and put it all in a tablespoon-ish of applesauce... worked for me, hope it helps !

as for the cipro.. umm is that the liquid? i used to put that in like a tablespoon of chocolate syrup, and 2 table spoons of milk...then mix, and chug.. haha, make a game out of it, try and helpp him make and then beat his own record.. lol

hope this helps!!!

My daughter is 2 years and 3 months. She has been on a 3 week course of Cipro twice now. She took it 4 mls twice a day. Gave it her in a syringe - no probs. She also has Dalivit (1ml) once a day - also given in a syringe. Let me know if you have any more questions.

DS has been on adeks vitamin drops since he was a couple weeks old. I gave up on the medicine dropper 'cuz by the time I'd get across the room that nasty orange stuff dripped all over. DS was on liquid actigall, keflex and adeks at that time and I would just put all the drugs for the next day in a baggy in the fridge. Every night I get the next days stuff ready in individual syringes and keep track of what I've given him on a white board. DS is on Vitamin K once a week in tablet form -- I use a pill crusher from walmart and sprinkle it on baby food bananas or applesauce. Liza

I just wanted to thankyou all for your advice. I stared to refrigerate the cipro and give it to him in a syringe and that seem to work good. I use the liquid ADKS vitamins and mix it with 1oz formula that way he drinks it all up and does not sptain his clothes.

I now measure up the adeks in a 1 cc syringe and keep it in the fridge with the others. But another thing we tried with adeks and his zantac was to put it in a baby bottle nipple with a splash of juice and he sucked it right down. DS never was all that great of an eater, so we never dared mixing his meds with formula 'cuz we never knew if he'd eat it all. Liza
