clinical feeding questions

Hello. I'm an occupational therapist and was wondering if anyone in the health care field that addresses feeding concerns could give me some insight.

Do all kids you have seen with CF have feeding problems?

Did some start out eating well then drop off sometime after they turned one years old?

I am not in the medical field, but I can say I have a 15 month old daughter who was eating very well and wanted to eat everything in sight at one point. She has since developed strong reflux and stopped eating almost completely at a point until we upped her Prevacid. She now has had a g-tube placed and the nissen Fundo surgery done and is still having problems eating as much as she used to. It is becoming impossible to keep her fed what she needs!

Hoping we can get her back to eating like she was soon! It was great! LOL So yes, they can stop eating for mutliple reasons I am sure, but one is reflux pain. She now has some bad views of foods from the pain it has caused. Sometimes she will eat like nothing is wrong....other times she wants nothing put in her mouth. Still...after surgery ( Grrr...
Do you have a child having problems? Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions or just want to talk or need advice )

Thank you for your response. This particular kiddo was eating well also and then gradually started to restrict her food choices and lessen her amount for no apparent reason. I am going to call her dietician and ask her questions and also have encouraged the mom to talk to her GI doc as there may be an underlying medical issue that hasn't physically presented itself as of yet.
