So glad I found ya'll!! So many questions for those with experience! My daughter is 15mths old and she is on Prevacid SoluTabs...The darn things clog the end of the syringe before I can get them down her mouth. Anyone else have this problem?? The docs say I am the first to have a problem. Am I trying th re-invent the wheel???? She is on a full tab. I dissolve it in the syringe in 4ml water and give it to her right away. Would love any ideas!! Thanks!

We also had this problem with the solutabs. Theres nothing like shooting prevacid across the room because you're trying to loosen it. We ended up buying a different kind of syringe. We tried adding more water but it didn't seem to work. Have you tried dissolving it in something other than water (we usually crumble it ourselves (instead of letting the water dissolve it) with her other meds. This seems to be working for us. Have you just tried placing it in her mouth and letting it dissolve itself? We've done that too but we have to break the tab into smaller pieces (we do that anyway half in the morning and half in the afternoon. Just some things we have done, you are definitely not the first to have this problem<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Ohh my goodness....My doctor, and cf nurse just instructed me to put it into my baby's mouth and it would dissolve itself...Our son took right away to them..I thought for sure he would spit them out..He only has one a day, before his morning enzymes/breakfast...Am I the only Mother that puts in right into mouth..

My son is 3 months old and he takes prevacid too. I put it in the syringe and use 5ml. of water to mix and then after add 1 more ml. of water to try and get the rest of the bits out. Usually I always miss some because they get clogged. I started to try and use a slightly deep spoon like I give him his enymes on to get all of it.I guess I just get a better angle squirting it onto the spoon and then feeding it to him because it doesn't seem to clog as much.
