I don't go to bars/clubs much because the smoke does bother me, and not just my breathing, I wear contacts and the smoke makes my eyes burn if I wear them out. So I can go as long as I can't see. I have several friends in bands and I go out when they're doing a show but that's about it.

They are trying to get a smoke free law passed in my state, I hope it happens.

I go out clubbing/pubbing all the time. The smoke does bother me, but I find that if I just have a good physio session after and stay active etc im fine. You have to live your life to the fullest. People sometimes dont realise its not all about the length of life, its about the quality of your life.

She can definatly lead a normal life. The worst thing you could do is shelter her and keep her from experiencing everything. Obviously you should discourage her from smoking and drugs and all those things, but as for going out and socialising etc the more the better. 99% of feeling normal is acting normal.

Being that she is only 4, I wouldnt tell her anything too in depth as she probably wouldnt understand. However I would answer any and all questions she has honestly and openly, and tell her that its all for the best. You sound like you'll be a fantastic mum.
