Colistin, TOBI and Pulmozyme

I was wondering if there are any other Males out there who have had abnormal LH, FSH or Testosterone levels in the same period of time that they were using any of the above meds. The reason why I ask is because my husband who has CF has always had testosterone levels at or above normal for years and years. In early 2001 he used TOBI for the first time, then dec. 2001 he had a Testosterone level that came back a little above the normal count. Then August of this year he was started again on TOBI and the doctor also started PULMOZYME for the first time. He had his first Testosterone level in September and it was below normal by quite a lot. Then at the end of September his doctor added neb. colistin. His levels were checked again end of October/early November his testosterone was checked again and it was even lower than the previous number. It was checked again early January and was even lower. The doctors don't know what is going on, they are just puzzled. And i was laying in bed thinking last night and it occured to me that maybe it was these meds.

He is also taking ultrase which he has been using for years so we ruled that out. He was also put on synthroid for thyroid (I don't believe it's related to his CF) around the August time frame. Other than that, there has been nothing different. I was just wondering if there was anybody else who has had this same experience or heard about something like this. I am of course going to consult his CF doc and our reproductive specialist, and utilize the web. If anybody has any ideas or anything, theyare very welcomed.

Thanks,

Julie (wife of Mark 24 w/CF)
